Elementum Energy Prepares to Build Three Mini Wind Farms as Part of the Danube Project
Elementum Energy is gearing up to construct three mini wind farms with a total capacity of 58.5 MW. The Danube Project, comprising the "Kiliya", "Artsyz", and "Artsyz-2" wind farms, each with an installed capacity of 19.5 MW, will be implemented in the Odesa region. Each wind farm is expected to produce approximately 66 GWh of green electricity annually, helping prevent 48,708 tons of CO₂ emissions every year.
Beyond supplying clean energy to 90,000 households collectively, these wind farms will create new jobs and contribute to the global climate agenda. They also embody Elementum Energy's commitment to the principle of "building back better", a cornerstone of Ukraine's post-war economic recovery.
"The government is currently focused on distributed generation technologies that can be deployed quickly and efficiently, such as gas-engine and other small-scale power plants. Small businesses with limited energy needs are installing rooftop and facade solar systems. We are committed to the build-back-better principle, which is why we are focusing on mini wind farms," said Olga Rybachuk, Managing Director of Elementum Energy.
Mini wind farms represent a prudent choice during the ongoing full-scale war. Being closer to consumption points makes them more compact and, therefore, more resilient to potential combat impacts.
